The Diving
The majority of diving in the area is shore
based, this is due to the persistent breeze
that blows from the sea everyday from 9am
to 4pm, it can make the waters uncomfortable
for a full day at sea. We do have both hard
boat and RIB diving available but it is
weather permitting, however whatever the
weather we will dive 365 days a year.
To make the shore diving more comfortable
we make camps at our dive sites prior
to the divers arrival. These camps provide
a 6m x 2m marquee, WC tent, freshwater
rinse showers, hot & cold drinks,
and of course first aid equipment.
Travel to the dive sites
is in air-conditioned mini buses, whilst
the crew takes the equipment in advance.
Hard boat dives are full
day excursions and include a freshly prepared
hot lunch with hot and cold drinks available
all day.
RIB diving is conducted
from either our Dive Club or if the case
of Elphinstone from an associate Dive
Centre. There are little or no facilities
with RIB diving until the boat returns
to shore.
From the Dive Club we offer
FREE UNLIMITED diving
on the excellent house reef to all guests
that have paid for a guided dive the same
day.
Booking In
All divers are required to register with
the Dive Club which will require completion
of:
Guest Registration Form
Medical Declaration ('Required for PADI
Courses Only')
Liability Release Form
And you will be required to produce the
following documentation;
Passport, a copy of which will be taken
for obtaining permission to dive
Diving certification card and log book
Proof of insurance with depth limit specified
Equipment
We have a secure dive equipment drying
store at the Dive Club in which you can
store your personal equipment. We will
issue each diver with a equipment box
for the duration of their stay and this
box number will have an associated hanger
in the store. For the smaller more valuable
items we have lockers available.
Our staff are there to make
your diving experience with Pharaoh Dive
Club the best it can be. If you would
like them to wash your kit and store it
for you each day simply let us know when
you book in. As a matter of course they
will transport your equipment boxes from
the store to the sites, boats or pool.
Rental equipment will be
issued to the diver and will be the responsibility
of the diver until the hire is terminated,
once on hire it will be treated as the
divers personal equipment.
