What can a Open Water Scuba Instructor Do?   Course Prerequisites for the IDC
  • Independently teach and certify PADI Scuba
    programmes
  • Enrole on a speciality Instructor Course
  • Enrole on an Emergency First Response
    Instructor Course (Can now be done at any time)
  • Start a new exciting business
 
  • PADI Assistant Instructor Certification or be an
    Instructor in good standing with another training organisation for at least six months. (check
    with our PADI Course Director or the PADI Office for qualifying credentials)
  • Hold a dive certification for at least six months
  • Have 60 logged dives that include night, deep and navigation dives
  • Proof of CPR training within the last 24 months
  • Medical clearance signed by a doctor
  • Want a fun, rewarding and exciting career
  • From 2009 you will also have to be an EFR Instructor, which we can include in the Instructror Preperation Course
  • You will need 100 logged dives in order to attend a PADI IE
